I made this infography after watching a video on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart about the Republican Senators’ rejection of the “Buffett Rule” (a proposal by billionaire Warren Buffett to increase the taxes on the wealthy), stating that the effect of that increase would be a “mere” 4,700 million dollars a year. (USA Today writes that, according to independent estimates, it would be something between 37,000 and 50,000 million dollars a year, but I ignored these numbers: maybe the Republicans were considering on their equation tax evasion by the wealthy...)
These same senators were fighting one year ago against Planned Parenthood, whose annual budget of 363 million dollars they classified as “a lot” of money; one of those senators went to the point of lying, stating that Planned Parenthood spent over 90% of its budget on abortions (it’s actually 3%).
